Different areas of Karachi received rain coupled with strong winds, bringing relief for citizens following a brief hot spell, Samaa reported. The first monsoon rain turned the weather pleasant as many areas including Nazimabad, Liaqatabad, North Nazimabad, Baldia, SITE Area, Maripur, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar received showers. According to Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB), K-Electric's transmission line of 132 KV has tripped as a result of strong winds and heavy rainfall. KE has issued an advisory, urging citizens to stay from electric poles and not to use wet hands for door bells.
